Do you have a history of cigarette smoking, chronic bronchitis and or emphysema?

You may have COPD a long term lung disease which can make breathing difficult.

Description: 1st Health Centers is currently conducting a research study for the treatment of COPD.

Qualifications Include: 
- Have been diagnosed with COPD
- You are 40 years or older
- You have a history of smoking

Participation will last over one year and approximately 9 clinic visits. If you qualify you will receive:
- Investigational medication
- Study-related physical exams
- Study-related lung function tests
- Study-related office visits

Do you suffer from allergies and asthma?

1st Health Centers is currently conducting a research study for the treatment of moderate to severe asthma and allergic rhinitis.

Qualifications Include: 
- Ages12-75 years
- History of moderate to severe asthma for a least one year prior to screening
- High dose ICS (with or without other asthma controller medications)
- Have as baseline FEV1 >40%and <80%
- Have had an asthma exacerbation requiring treatment with systemic steroids.

This study involves up to 14 visits 48 weeks. Qualified participants will receive financial compensation for time and travel.

Does your child suffer from asthma?

1st Health Centers is conducting an observational study for children with moderate to severe asthma. This study aims to gather information on how asthma affects your life and your child’s life.

Qualifications Include: 
- Age 6-11 years
- Using inhaled corticosteroids for at least 3 months
- Have asthma or asthma symptoms for at least 1 year

This study involves one office visit once every 6 months and monthly follow up calls. Participation in the study will last for 1-2 years. Qualified participants will be compensated for their time and travel.

Do you suffer from asthma?

Location: Denver, CO 

Asthma is a chronic condition that affects people of all ages, constricting and inflaming airways. 1st Health Centers is conducting a research study for an FDA approved medication for the treatment of moderate asthma. This study evaluates the therapeutic equivalency of two different doses of asthma medication when providing the same total daily dose.

Qualifications Include: 
- Ages 18 years old or older
- Have a diagnosis of asthma for at least 1 year
- Currently using inhaled steroids for the treatment of asthma
- Must be non-smoker

This study involves 5 office visits and lasts up to about 10 weeks. Qualified participants will receive financial compensation for time and travel.

Is your asthma uncontrolled?

Description: If you take asthma medication and still experience asthma symptoms, you may qualify for a study examining a new medication for the treatment of uncontrolled asthma. 

Qualifications Include: 
- Ages 18 to 75 years old
- Currently taking asthma medications
- Experiencing asthma symptoms (feeling short of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, etc.)

This study involves 9 visits over the course of 24 weeks. Qualified participants will receive financial compensation for time and travel.
